Please inform us of your arrival time; check in is from 3pm to 6pm and check out is before 10am. If you wish for earlier or later check-in/check-out times please notify us in advance. We are flexible, so please let us know your requirements.


Nelson Heights Bed & Breakfast is a non-smoking environment. However smoking is permitted outside on the condition that all butts and litter are removed from the property and wind direction is taken into consideration when smoking not to inconvenience other guests

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

Bookings can be received by phone, email or online and are confirmed upon receipt of your credit card details or online payment. Any cancellations or amendments to your bookings must be made by email to: claire.lindsay@slingshot.co.nz

Bookings cancelled within 24 hours will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

Telephone cancellations or amendments will not be accepted. International customers’ refund will be calculated on the exchange rate at the time the refund is made.

Number of guests:

Must be agreed at the time of booking, and in any event the number of guests must not exceed the number of beds. No visitors are allowed in rooms after 10pm.


Unfortunately, our property is not suitable for children and therefore we do not accept children under 12 years of age, unless you are booking all 3 guest rooms.


Guest pets are not allowed.

Care, Linen and Cleaning:

At all times the house and facilities must be treated with care, so that damage is not caused. When vacating the room you are required to leave it in a tidy condition ready for the cleaner, and your rubbish correctly disposed of in the receptacle. The rooms are fully serviced with all linen and towels supplied.

Your Responsibilities and your Liability:

Please note that as the person making the booking you are held responsible for any and all people staying with you and 3rd party invitees. You will be held legally responsible for any losses, breakages and any damage to the property, its facilities, or amenities that occur during your occupation.

Should any damage be caused, we will debit your credit card immediately for the estimated cost of repair or replacement, and make any necessary adjustments later when the actual costs are known and the work completed. Please report any damage or breakage immediately.

We may supply personal possessions, guides, books and magazines , games, CD’s & DVD’s for your enjoyment. These are to be cared for and may not be taken with you on departure.


Facilities, whether inside the house or outside, barbeque, etc are made available to you for use at your own risk. Please exercise care and especially supervise children at all times. We will not accept liability for any injury, damage or loss of personal possessions, whether through negligence or otherwise to the maximum permissible by law.


Without prejudice to any other rights, Nelson Heights Bed & Breakfast may without notice terminate its contract with the customer immediately if the customer fails to pay any applicable fees or to comply with any of these terms and conditions, or if Nelson Heights Bed & Breakfast ceases to supply any services.

Travel Insurance is highly recommended.
